VOLUNTEERS: Making a
difference...
Habitat for Humanity
of Northern Fox Valley controls homeowner costs by using a volunteer
structure for all labor. You can volunteer to help
construct a Habitat home, to work on one
of our committees, to help at our
ReStore or to help in the office. Use the links on the left to
explore our volunteer opportunities. The first step to
volunteering is to attend one of our orientation meetings (see details
to the right). If you want additional information prior to
attending the meeting,
Community and
corporate group days are available, teams should call the Habitat office at (847) 836-1432
to discuss a build date.

Construction Supervisors:
As we expand our build
program, we need additional build site construction leaders. Our
site leaders must combine the skill and knowledge required to build a
home with the ability to instruct our volunteers on construction basics.
We are in the final stages of planning and permitting; we hope to begin
construction soon. If you fit the blueprint, contact our office
(847)836-1432 and ask to speak to either Barb or Bill.
CONSTRUCTION CREW LEADERS:
If you are semi-skilled in
building, we need 2-3 volunteers at each site to work with and lead
small groups of volunteers for build days. You will be asked to
participate twice a month for the duration of a build. Great way
to build you skills and a future for a deserving partner family.
Call our office at (847) 836 9291, and ask for Barb or Bill fro details.
construction site support:
On our build day's we need a
volunteer at each site to help with material management. This
person will work with our supervisors to insure material is on site to
support our build. They will monitor material usage and use our
pick-up to replenish materials as needed during the day.
When not procuring materials they will participate in the build effort.
